4 x 4 Pumpkins

4x4 Posts are nothing new in my studio.  I've used them to make Santa Claus' and candle holders, so when I received an email blast last week from Houzz.com highlighting Halloween ideas using 4x4 posts to make pumpkins, I knew I had all the supplies needed to make them.  The post came from simply {kierste}.  Check it out!  Mine vary a bit from hers.  I used groupings of twigs and the end of a broom handle for the pumpkin's stems instead of tree branches, and I angled the tops of my pumpkins giving them a more folksy vibe than the one shown on simplykierste.com. For a more modern vibe, cut the posts straight making the tops perfectly flat.
